Sunburns mean you had fun

When I see someone with a sunburn I sometimes wonder what they were doing to get it. I always hope that my sunburns are from a fun day outside.  I got my first burn of the year on Saturday and I was strangely excited.  The only downside was that I had on elbow length sleeves...you can picture the after-math!

Thank goodness for nice weather, I was going crazy! Scott and I woke up early on Saturday and had a little yard sale.  It was a lot of fun getting to meet a lot of people and chat with them.  It feels so good to get rid of some clutter.  Geez we've only been married 22 months, how do we have so much stuff already?

That day we also had fun hanging out at the park behind our house, going to the mall, and getting snow cones. We went to Shiver's Shaved Ice (across from Burger Stop in Layton). It's our friend's stand and it was so good, I recommend peach!

I just love days when I get to be with Scott all day long.  We ended our weekend sitting on our front porch at 10:00 at night, just talking and laughing.  It was warm outside although there was lightning out over the lake.  It was one of those moments where I felt completely care free and truly happy, you can't beat that!

Safely Ever After

This is my Beautiful Wife smooching the camera. I'm the luckiest kid alive, and why am I alive? Because I wear a helmet (or so she says).

We have recently discovered that we enjoy bike riding. It is always nice to have hobbies that you enjoy together, and this is one for us. We took a leisurely 8 mile round trip ride on the Legacy Parkway bike trail. The scenery was impressive. We enjoyed the sounds of birds and frogs as we rode down the flat landscape. We saw a fox, dove, geese, ducks (all of which made me think about the local hunting regulations) and we also saw cattle, horses, and a bunch of busted down cars.

We stopped once to have a quick picnic. We did it old school and had Lunchables- I never knew those came with so many choices!

We finished up at the perfect time. The sun was going down and it was starting to get cold. Heather snapped this shot of the sunset at the end of our trip.

Oh Boy!

We sure love our 8 nieces!  Now to add to the fun we just found out that we are getting our first NEPHEW!  The streak is broken!  Scott's brother Brad and his awesome wife Bri are expecting their little man in November.  This is such a big deal to all of us, it's an awesome day!

This weekend we went on a road trip to Idaho Falls to spend the weekend with Scott's family.  We had so much fun there, always do. 

We all went and watched our bro Darren play high school ball.  He had some great hits, but I didn't catch any of them in a pic. Here he is being catcher though. Wearing his (and all the brothers) favorite number...5.

Scott was going all out to get some family pics at Darren's game. I think it's time for a new camera at our house, Scott loved using his mom's!

Siblings Jeff, Joe, Lisa, me, and Scott all went to go mothers day shopping at the mall.  Let's just say there were some enticing sales, and we all ended up with something for ourselves before we got any mothers day shopping done...don't worry- we ended up getting some sweet deals for our moms too.

The other awesome part of the weekend was lunch with our good friends the Staples!  It was just our luck that they happened to be in Idaho Falls, so we met up for a chance to reconnect (and finally got to meet their adorable baby girl Keira).

Scott liked his first semester at the U!

We celebrated our niece Adalynn's first birthday this week!  She's the cinco de mayo baby :) 

We have gone on a few bike rides around our town...it is nothing but HILLS!!!!  Our goal is to make it up our mountain of a street (without stopping)

We're thrilled for Jenna who had sweet baby Julianne on my birthday :) 

We got to see my brother be put in a bishopric-very cool experience!
