The Ball

Thanks to my Dad for inviting us all to the Military Ball this weekend. Who doesn't love a chance to dress up and dance?
We were glad our friends Amy & Kory came with us, they taught us some fun swing moves...we are going to practice them so we don't forget! Here's the answers for this post, our 15 goals (in no particular order):
1.Own a house 2.Have kids 3.Create an AMAZING walk in closet 4. See a show on Broadway 5&6.Graduate from College 7.Keep playing violin through the years 8.Scott get a 1979 Corvette 9.Go to Hawaii 10.Go through all the temples in Utah 11.Study the Book of Mormon more 12. Go on a mission together 13.Sit court-side at an NBA game 14.Scott own a business 15.Go to Europe

GOALS (not the soccer kind)

We have Sunday dinner at my parent's house each week, and that includes some time where we have 'family night'. A few weeks ago my dad asked all of us to think about some goals and dreams we'd like to achieve in our lifetime. He suggested we all make a collage of some sort to represent our goals, and then we'd share them with each other.

Scott and I had fun making ours. I thought I'd post it and see if you can guess what our goals are. A few of them might be tricky (can you figure out why Jay Z and Beyonce are on there?)

There are 15 goals...I'll tell you what they all are later.
Oh...and no guessing from my family that was there :)

S & L

Just a quick note to say CONGRATULATIONS TO STEVE & LYNLEE! One of Scott's best friends got married this weekend and we were so happy to be able to go and celebrate with them.

It was a beautiful wedding, and I think Scott cried the same amount that day as he did at our own wedding :)

I didn't take any pics, but if you want to see some of the big day, check out my SIL's blog: she was their photographer. It is definitely worth checking it out, even if just to see Lynlee's dress. The girl rocked a mermaid gown. Gorgeous!

The little one is one

Happy first birthday to the one-and-only grandchild! (on my side)
It was a big day for her...I think she was pretty exhausted by the time we made her take a pic with us :)
Simple things I've noticed about her:
She enjoys eating food more than anyone I know
Her eyes are as big as mine
She loves her uncle Scott a lot
She's got a great sneeze
Her clothes are cuter than mine

The 1.5

It has been a year since this, so that means it is our 1.5 anniversary today! We celebrated yesterday (still haven't outgrown celebrating half things) by going to the Mandarin, a local chinese restaurant that is awesome! After that Scott packed for a business trip while I watched The Bachelor.

I dropped him off at the airport bright and early this morning, and by 11:30 am he was already in his rental car working in Phoenix. Isn't travel amazing these days? It is crazy to think of the hardships pioneers faced trying to get to new places. Now it is so easy. Heck, we can even go to the moon.

Well today in Phoenix it is sunny in the mid 60's. Let's just all say it together, "SO JEALOUS!!!". I wish I could have tagged along, but we didn't really think about that as an option until it was too late. Oh well, maybe next time.

It has been a great year-point-five; life with Scott is incredible. Just the other day about 10pm we were figuring out what we wanted to do before bed. Movie? TV? Clean the house? All of a sudden, this conversation (yes it's real) took place:

Scott: "Hey Heath, do you want to just go hop in bed and talk for a few hours?"
Heather: "You might be THE perfect man."
